Reports to: Service Delivery Manager

In this role, a candidate will serve as an escalated support resource for complex troubleshooting issues for our managed clients. You will primarily focus on Server and Network-based issues, and will also be able to participate in some project implementation work with our Project Engineers. You will need to have strong communication skills with end-users and internally to our other technicians and engineers. You should have a willingness and eagerness to learn and expand your skillset as you work more closely with the engineering team over time.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing solutions tailored to each client’s needs
  • IT Project support and advice relating to technical issues involving both Microsoft’s core business applications and Windows environments, as well as virtual infrastructures built on Microsoft Hyper-V, Azure and VMware
  • Supporting Backup and Business Continuity solutions
  • Remote access solution implementation and support including Remote Desktop Services and VPN
  • Communication with end-users and internal teams
  • Maintain familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies and trends
  • Willingness to attend and complete training and certification tracks
  • Perform escalated support for end-users
  • Assist Project engineers with project implementation
  • On-site visits may be required on occasion


Qualifications:

  • 2 years of general technical experience required; 5 years of experience preferred in network and server administration and engineering
  • Knowledge and experience with core network fundamentals (Routing, Switching, etc.)
  • Expertise in setting up, administering, and migrating Microsoft Windows Server (2016-2022)
  • Experience strongly preferred in Microsoft Cloud (Office 365, Azure)
  • Preferred to have experience with email migration projects using Exchange and IMAP.
  • General understanding of SQL, IIS, PowerShell.
  • Preferred familiarity with NAS, SAN, iSCSI, and other types of storage solutions.
  • Must pass a national background check.
